Posted on Posted in announcements

Starting from April 29th until May 2nd, we are excited to present the Seattle premiere of Our Last Tango. This film recounts the history behind one of the most famous and beloved Tango duos: Juan Carlos Copes and Maria Nieves Rego. This film not only features candid interviews with Maria, but also features beautifully choreographed dance sequences to re-enact the intimacy and tension between the pair and their relationship to the dance.

Our Last Tango is a combination of things, all fascinating: a portrait of MarĂa Nieves and Juan Carlos Copes, a world-renowned pair of tango dancers, and their professional partnership of almost 50 years; a stylized staging of their romantic and artistic history, performed by young dancers; and a celebration of the tango itself, which continues to bewitch with its writhing, gently jagged grace and torrid suggestiveness.” -The New York Times
