Join us at Counterbalance Park (Roy & Queen Anne, just NW of the Seattle Center) to celebrate the waning days of Indian summer, with the unique experience of an outdoor milonga! This is a one-time event, and probably our last good opportunity for it until 2012!

Counterbalance Park is perfectly suited for this: it has unforgettable lighting once it becomes dusk, and a wood deck that is great for dancing (smooth, very little gap between planks). It is a much better surface for dancing than at Tango Magic's Salmon Bake. Ladies may want to bring both heels and flats to have the choice best for them.
The weather forecast says warm (mid-70s day-time peak) and partly cloudy - nearly perfect conditions for us. Bring a sweater to accommodate possible cooling temps mid-eve.
Arriving early (i.e. before or by 7pm) will give you the best experience of the light transition from daylight through sunset (@7:05pm) to the glory of the park lighting after dusk.
Arriving early will also give you the best parking options - coming after the departing day-shift and before the arriving evening theatre-goers etc. (No "On the Boards" performance that night = easier parking!) Parking options are best: south of Roy St and west of Queen Anne Ave.
After the outdoor milonga, just head up the hill to enjoy Milonga Cachirulo and Deborah's delicious treats, or head up Highway 99 to Sonny's for some live music with Tango Brazo!
See you there!
