Maximiliano Cristiani Introduction of His Tango Classes Expertise:

OBJECTIVE: To carry out very HONEST, ETHICAL and EFFECTIVE work.
HONEST: Find the pleasure of teaching, in seeing the real results that students have during learning, and we find great satisfaction in seeing their evolution.
ETHICS: Focus on working on dance structures and not on commercial “figures”…
EFFECTIVENESS: Structured teaching methods focusing on:

a) “individual technique” or in other words in “corporeal knowledge”, but without losing the essence of social dance…
b) The social dance, from the connection with the partner, which can be applied to the “real life” of the milonguero.
c) Demand, we believe and trust in the abilities of our students and from there we program our lessons.

August 15th (Thu)
7:00-8:30pm WORKSHOP 1 “FOLLOWERS TECHNIQUE”

August 17th (Sat)
11:30-12:45pm WORKSHOP 2 “DIAMOND LESSONS”
These are the most important lessons, working for all levels, beginners, intermediate, advanced. We will work on the most important structures of tango as a way of redesigning our dance and our functionality. Thinking about the comfort of dancing as a priority. Posture, Hug, Connection, the secrets of our WAY OF WALKING, Eight forwards and backwards. The way of leading/following, melodic eights, rhythmic eights in close embrace, rolling and connecting.
Level: All levels

12:55-2:10pm WORKSHOP 3 “FULL CONNECTION”
Resources to improve the connection in the couple, optimize fluency, divide the responsibilities of leader/follower using different connection engines. Demystify nonfunctional formats that block our fluidity.
Level: Intermediate and advanced

2:20-3:35pm WORKSHOP 4 “DYNAMICS IN TURN”
“Giro Milonguero”, with closed embrace, “Melodic Giro”, “Giros Centrifugal force” Interpretation of the music, and how to apply it in the real dance, preparing the body for the different concepts.
Level: Intermediate/high-advanced

3:45-5:00 WORKSHOP 5 “VALS”
“Alteraciones”, “musicality changes”, centrifugal force in complex sequences

12:55-2:10pm WORKSHOP 8 “MILONGUERO SISTEM”
“1” resources for dance in a small space, figures using rebounds, full embrace, working on different music. Milonguero is not about “style”, it is about the interpretation
Level: Intermediate/advance

2:20-3:35pm WORKSHOP 9 “MUSICALITY”
Definition of different musical concepts applied to dance to be able to interpret and dance in melodic mode, rhythmic mode, applying in different musical times, a “double time”, “Contratiempo”, “Sincopas” in linear movements and circulars.
Level: Intermediate-advanced

3:45-5:00 WORKSHOP 10 “CREATIVITY TO MAXIMUM EXPRESION”
Creativity at its best: Learn to lead as a follower and to follow as a leader. It is about the evolution of tango, where both roles can propose a sequence. In this lesson you will learn the language to guide sequences being a follower and following sequences proposed by the follower but being a leader. CREATE TOGETHER
